For the past few months, on Tuesday mornings, my friend Shelley Zoph and I, Bonnie Paglia, have been baking cookies at a hospice house in South County. On those mornings, the house is filled with the aroma of freshly baked goods. The patients, their families, and the staff are so appreciative of what we do. They tell us that the smell and taste of the warm cookies are so comforting and give them joy at a difficult time.
